此件镇纸精铜打造，铜质厚重压手。瑞狮呈趴伏状，昂首扭头，双目圆睁有神，鼻翼宽厚，神情威严。整体毛发，头部，躯体等皆雕刻精妙，将瑞狮回首瞬间的神情动态表现的淋漓尽致。背伏一只灵猴，和乐融融，画面生动。灵猴刻画亦细腻生动，憨态可掬。狮象征“事事如意”，而古代灵猴则寓意聪明伶俐，也有封侯做官之意。
整器体量虽小，但铜质精炼，入手生坠之感，且圆雕工艺一丝不苟，可见其匠心独运，精工巧做。作为镇纸，在实用之外诠释了传统灵猴骑狮造型的动物寺性及吉祥寓意，乃文房雅具之首选，颇可赏玩。
