This lot may have appeared in Warsaw, then disappeared, now it's back again.A late 19th century Chinese Qing dynasty copper red glazed vase with an applied coiled dragon.Originally meant for the scholar's studio or desk, the bud vase is of elegant shape, with a slim body set on a recessed foot, rising to a wide shoulder to support the coiled chilong or dragon, before narrowing to the thin, elongated stick neck.The dragon well executed, the serpentine body coiling around the vase, one clawed leg raised triumph, and an unusual bifurcated tail trailing downwards. The entirety of the vase has been covered in an alluring mottled copper red glaze.The base bearing an apocryphal Chinese six character Da Qing Kangxi Nian Zhi mark.
