The wheel inside is painted in a gesso relief technique and decorated with mantras in lantsa script. Painted on the walls of the pavilion-roofed shrine are depictions of Tsongkapa, the great teacher and founder of the Gelug order. Other images include additional Gelug hierarchs, a standing bodhisattva, Buddhist emblems, flowers, and on the inner part of the door the Kalachakra monogram is depicted. Compare with a closely related example in the Rubing Musuem of Art (SC2010.32a-h).
