拍品为海棠形盘口，器身自上而下随口沿角度律动自然，束颈，溜肩，鼓腹，圈足外撇，器形规整。通体施茶叶末釉，釉质肥糯细润，釉色黄中带青，温润而爽目。整器典雅隽秀的器型与润泽瑰丽的色釉完美地结合，达到“合于天造，厌于人意”的艺术境界。
茶叶末釉为唐英于雍正年间创烧的新品种，所产茶叶末釉，釉色黄闰，带黑色或黑褐色斑点，有茶无末，似鳝鱼皮色，称“鳝鱼黄”，乾隆时则茶末兼有，釉色偏绿者居多，俗称“蟹甲青”、“茶叶末”等，并以乾隆时的烧制最为成功。《陶雅》中赞其色“骄娆而不俗，艳于花、美如玉、范为瓶，最养目……以滋闰鲜明活发三者为贵。”
