Bronze with inlays India 17th century Dimensions: Height 9 cm Wide 5,5 cm Depth 3 cm Weight: 190 grams Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara seated casually on a double reverse lotus base with beaded rim. Lotus flowers are growing besides the deity, the body in a gentle curve from the waist and the head tilted to the side. One arm is resting on the leg holding a precious jewel, the other supported by the knee and holding the flower. He is adorned with beaded jewellery, his hair done up in a high chignon and encircled by a tiara. He is smiling and gazing friendly. The bronze is still sealed with an incised double vajra and yin and yang symbol.
