Bronze Tibet, 19th century Dimensions: Height 30 cm Wide 20 cm Depth 10 cm Weight: 3291 grams A large Sino-Tibetan gilt-bronze deity Hajagriva embracing his consort, standing on a lotus base with beaded rim, surrounded by a fiery aureole. The wrathful deity has six arms fanning out to the sides holding ritual objects, three faces and four legs. His wild mane is decorated with a skull crown. Both are wearing tiger skins around their waists. The piece is separable into the statue and the aureole.
