Grey schist Gandhara Ca. 200-300 AD Dimensions: 60,5 cm by 38,5 cm by 8 cm without stand Weight with stand: 25Kg A decorative element from the drum-shaped body of a stupa. To the top is the image of the Buddha after having gained enlightenment, seated on a lotus flower throne. To the sides are the bikhus, or disciples. To the bottom are four busts that are possibly demi-gods. Between the busts is the Buddha accepting an offering.
