Painter specialised in flowers, although he also tackled the landscape, Cayo Guadalupe Zunzárren was widely recognised in Barcelona, the city where he developed his career. He exhibited his work in group and individual exhibitions, the most important of the latter being the one held in 1919 at the Galerías Layetanas in Barcelona. He was a member of the Foment de les Arts Decoratives association and was a member of the Associació Artistica i Literària de Catalunya, an institution that dedicated an important posthumous exhibition to him after his death.
