A pair of George IV Regimental silver two-handled soup tureens and covers, by Joseph Angell, London 1825, oval bellied form, foliate, shell and gadroon borders, reeded foliate handles, the domed pull-off covers with foliate capped snake handles, on four foliate capped paw feet, engraved with the badge of the 69th Regiment, repaired and the feet later filled, length 40.5cm, approx. total weight including filled feet 8.4kg. (2) Provenance: This lot is being sold on the instructions of the Trustees of The Royal Welsh Regiment Museum Trust.
