录文：颜鲁国道《刘太冲》、《蔡明远》二叙，圆劲古厚其极，此能事竟当与右军方驾矣。
郭尚先，字符开，号兰石。福建莆田人。嘉庆十四年（1809年）进士，历任乡试考官、国史馆纂修、文渊阁校理、四川学政、左赞善、光禄寺卿等。工书法，又善绘画，山水之外，尤擅兰石。篆刻则古朴浑厚，法度精严，被誉为“深入汉人之室”。著述亦丰。
