说明：拍品形制规，敞口，弧腹，圈足，内壁施白釉，釉面肥腴滋润，外壁罩施胭脂红釉，色泽浓艳，红白相映，瑰丽非凡。底书“胡隆昌造”四字双行楷书款。
胭脂红又称“金红”、“洋红”，是一种以金为发色剂，在800-850℃的低温中焙烤形成的釉色。于康熙年间从西方传入我国，并开始于瓷器上使用，至雍正、乾隆时期己广泛使用。含金量的多少直接影响胭脂红的呈色，若于釉中掺入约万分之二的金即可得到较为浓艳的胭脂色，而掺入万分之一的金，即为浅淡的胭脂水，此为胭脂红。
