卣，本为酒器，盛行于商代和西周，《诗经·大雅·江汉》中有“厘尔圭瓒，秬鬯一卣”之言。后因其做工精致，通体花纹富丽繁缛，给人以威严庄重之感，故后世多有仿制，本品则为典型。拍品造型庄重饱满，器盖子母口，盖中央设圆钮，卣内底部刻有铭文，颈两侧对称设铜环提梁，盖、腹、足均有扉棱，周身布云雷纹，在云雷纹地上装饰变形龙凤纹及兽面纹，线条流畅自然，兽面圆睁双目，气势威严。整器包浆圆融，做工考究，深得上古遗风，气韵非凡。
