|宜兴紫砂器外销欧洲，首先由荷兰的阿姆斯特丹传至德国莱比锡，1662年康熙时期，欧洲各国皇室贵族即已大量收藏有“红色陶瓷”之称的宜兴紫砂，并与青花瓷器同为珍稀藏品而风靡整个欧洲各个帝国。此件六方双狮戏球壶即是当时外销欧洲器物，卅年前由欧洲回流台湾，如今重现，其壶把及流巧妙饰以龙首，壶盖上有双狮戏球立体圆雕，工艺精湛，姿态灵动，历经三百馀年保存完整如新，殊为难得，是同类清早期紫砂外销器的精品。
