朱梅邨 1911年生于江苏吴县。13岁起从随朱梅邨舅父吴湖帆习画。曾与叶恭绰、吴湖帆、张大千、冯超然等一起组织正社画会。曾任上海中国画院画师、上海文史馆员、中国美术家协会会员。1950年加入”新中国画研究会”。代表作有为中国历史博物馆作《墨子》，为中国人民革命军事博物馆作《赤壁之战》，为人民大会堂作《黄山秋爽》。
Zhu Meicun, born in Wuxian County of Jiangsu province in 1911, started painting from his uncle Wu Hufan when he was 13 years old. He was an organizer of Zhengshe Painting Society with Ye Gongchuo, Wu Hufan, Zhang Daqian, Feng Chaoran, etc. He served as a painter of Shanghai Chinese Painting Institute, a librarian of Shanghai Literature and History Museum and a member of China Artists Association. He attended the New Chinese Painting Research Association in 1950. He created Mozi for Museum of Chinese History and Mount Huang in Autumn for Great Hall of the People.
