叶浅予 1907年生于浙江桐庐。中国漫画和生活速写的奠基人。曾任中国美术家协会副主席、中国文联委员、中国画研究院副院长、中央美院教授。曾获“第六届全国美展荣誉奖”。代表作有《维吾尔人》、《婆罗多舞》、《长安怀古》。
Ye Qianyu was born in Tonglu, Zhejiang in 1907. As a pioneer of Chinese comics and sketch of life, he served as Vice President of China Artists Association, a member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Vice President of China Academy of Chinese Painting and professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts. He was the owner of the Honor Prize of the 6th National Art Exhibition. Uigur, Bharatyatnam and Ancient City Changan are his masterpieces.
