Fine & Important Bohemian Cased Glass Cup By Franz Paul Zach, Mid 19th CenturyWith Cranberry Swirl Stem Similar seen at V&A meum Franz Zach (C.1818-1881) was a leading Bohemian glass engraver who specialised in engraving on heavy forms executed in thick cased glass, such as the Cherubs in the present lot. He was also a pioneer of cameo techniques. Zach worked in Munich, mostly via the retailer Franz Steigerwald.
