款识：源记（盖款）；范庄农家（底款）镌刻：新泉初沸补茶经。辛亥冬月。
此件广口壶砂质细腻，抚之温润，以寿桃为盖钮，得体而富有灵气。壶上绘茅草屋，树影婆娑，得颜回之乐也。另一面镌刻：“新泉初沸补茶经。辛亥冬月。”出自丁佛言的名联“古墨半浓评砚谱，新泉初沸补茶经”。丁佛言是清末民初著名书法篆刻家、古文字学家。壶上此联“评”对“补”,《砚谱》对《茶经》，体现了民国时期，革故鼎新之时文人特有的金石情趣。款式简介： 范庄农家，为宜兴西望墟乡间艺人之闲章。所制茗壶，相当精美，技艺较高。壶上钤印“范庄农家”篆文方印，有的壶上有“跂陶”镌款。约在清末民国时期。
