此白玉卧羊把件取上等和田玉料雕琢，玉质细腻致密，温润通透，器表包浆醇厚，色泽沉静含蓄，体现出文雅庄重的静谧之美。卧羊造型写实，圆眼隆额，双角粗壮向后弯曲，四肢屈曲于身下，呈回望之态，神态乖巧温顺。表面局部保留了玉料红润的皮色，色泽妍丽悦目，使整器于清秀莹润之中更添一抹古朴和煦之泽。所谓“檐前梅弄寒客，雪下人赏白玉”，纵观整器，选料上等，造型端庄静雅，雕琢工艺精湛，实为上等佳品。来源：J. J. Lally & Co. New York，1992。
