卣为盛酒器，盛行于商代和西周。《诗经•大雅•江汉》中有：“厘尔圭瓒，秬鬯一卣”的诗句。习见的提梁卣多做扁壶圈足样式，而本品作圆筒三足状，传世较为少见。 此拍品铜铸，呈圆筒造型，口底相若，朴拙圆实，盖身以子母口相契合，盖面微隆，中央为环钮，盖面及颈部均饰蟠虺纹，颈两侧对铸饕餮耳，并连接链形提梁，腹部中段饰带状几何纹，下衬蝉翼纹，平底承接三足。盖内及内底心均铸有金文铭文。
