款识：“大明宣德年制”六字三行楷书款 历代文房案头置放，除常见文具用度之外，焚香器具也占有相当的比重，其中铜炉为案头之首器，冲天耳炉则为铜炉之首。 冲耳炉形制源出宋代瓷炉，宣德皇帝以其置于政务殿阁，盖因取其“敬天法相”之意也。因其线条优雅流畅，故而被后世广泛应用于宫廷，文房，祭祀等诸多重大场所。 此炉风气卓然，线条鼓厚沉匀。薄唇外侈，双耳型如玉带，根部瘦而顶端肥，城门洞状耳孔，是为时代之特征。颈部缓收，腹外鼓，三足圆润，结实精巧。底心“大明宣德年制”六字楷书，铸后精修，中规中矩，笔笔强悍，撇捺伸长，力道深厚，可见刻者之功力。
