拍品以白玉制作，材质温和，经长久陈设，包浆莹润，色泽含蓄，局部略带皮色，天然成趣。以镂空之法作山石磊叠之状，形制简约，褶皱曲折，峰峦富于变化，断面利落，孔洞互贯，大开大合，天然成趣，于嶙峋中流露方正大气之感，其间灵芝丛生，蝙蝠翻飞，灵动而富有生机，表达了仙福永享，寿与天齐的美好愿望。 整器刀法老辣爽利，似刀劈斧凿般锋芒毕露，畅汗淋漓，以求形似石之质感，颇具匠心，且寓意祥瑞，在清代玉雕山子中无疑是较为突出的一件。 清代宫廷置器，文玩陈设极为讲究，美器必配美座，此品山子原配紫檀木座，尤为难得。精雕细琢，纹饰取松之君子高洁之意，可得板桥“咬定青山不放松，立根原在破岩中”的意境。
