A Pair of Famille Rose and Underglaze Blue Porcelain Wall Vases QIANLONG PERIOD (1735-1796) each of straight bisected begonia form, molded with flanking mythical beast mask knobs, and pierced at the reverse for mounting conforming reticulated hardwood stand with rectangular backing. The vases each painted in warm enamels with flowering peony over underglaze blue leafing vines between petal and ruyi bands. Detailed with gilt pigment to the mouth rim and at painted mock handles. Height of each vase 5 1/2 in., 14 cm. Yong Yuen Hong, Hong Kong, 10 March 1962, with the original sales receipt signed by Robert Chang
