A late Victorian gold onyx and shell cameo brooch, depicting Bacchus. Length 4cms. 18.6gms. Overall condition good to fair. General light to moderate marks and wear, in keeping with age. Cameo in good condition, with some wear. Cameo appears to be carved from shell and set into an onyx backing. Glass panel to reverse with some chips. With pendant surmount fitting. May be worn as a pendant. Estiamted dimensions of cameo 31 by 26mms. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
