A late Victorian 18ct gold and platinum sapphire, ruby and diamond dress ring.Sapphire calculated weight 0.57ct, based on estimated dimensions of 5.2 by 4.7 by 2.5mms. Ruby calculated weight 0.45ct, based on estimated dimensions of 5 by 4.4 by 2.2mms. Estimated total diamond weight 2.75cts.French assay marks. Ring size Q1/2. 10.5gms. Overall condition fair to good. General light to moderate wear. Ruby with fairly significant wear and abrasions to the table and crown. Diamonds appear slightly varied in colour and clarity. Estimated H-tinted colour, SI1-P2 clarity. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.65ct, H-I colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Diamonds bright. Sapphire is a medium slightly violet blue hue, well saturated, with good clarity and some typical inclusions. Sapphire with mdoerate nicks and abrasions to facet edges. Ruby is a fairly deep slightly purplish red hue, well saturated, with good clarity. Ruby with fairly signifcant abrasions to the table and crown. Length of ring head 2.2cms.
