觚本为商周时期一种饮酒的彝器，入宋以后因金石学的兴起，根据出土古物重新勘校了许多青铜时代的祭器，觚便为其中之一。本品花觚精铜所铸，胎体均整，厚薄适中，造型粗浑壮硕，显端庄沉稳之气。喇叭形撇口，中间微鼓，下部凤尾状高圈足。通体纹饰以云雷纹为地，颈部饰蕉叶形蝉纹，下衬以夔凤纹，腹部及高足均出扉棱，饰兽面纹为饰。此类摹古器物又融合以时代特征，颇受文人雅士钟爱，诚为一时之精品，置于案头、增添古意古雅之至。 原配木质镂空底座，精工细作，独具一格，与主体物严丝合缝，相得益彰。
