A Japanese silver and ivory vase, Meiji period (1868-1912), with a flaring floral rim and a slender neck, above a carved ivory body decorated with figures in relief, set with twin dragon handles and raised on a shaped base, with all-over floral and foliate enamelled decoration, bearing a three-character mark to the ivory, signed Yoshimitsu to silver base, 18cm high, 172.5g Condition report: General wear, surface scratches and tarnish throughout. Mouth, base and one handle dented. Splits to ivory. Repair to foot.
