釋迦摩尼圖像學變化很少，只有坐姿和立姿兩種，所施禪定印、與願印、觸地印、轉法輪印和無畏印為最常見的五大手印；而此尊釋迦牟尼像是佛教圖像學中最為重要的造像之一。 該尊像為銅質，頂螺結發，肉髻高隆，廣顙豐頰，修眉垂目，雙耳及肩，薄唇微闔，開相端莊。上身挺直，作初說法狀，肩臂腿腹處衣紋褶皺轉折起伏自然流暢。佛光璀璨莊嚴，威容端嚴，手足柔潤，嚴慈靜穆，蓮瓣座製作精細，蓮瓣飽滿，片片排列。置之案頭供奉，祈求順心安康。
