款识：良士五兄属。汪鸣銮。 钤印：郋亭（朱） 鉴藏印：刘（朱） 识文：比总总附书，谅只在下旬可到。途中收十月三日手笔并诗，深以为慰，示喻已悉，襄州之行，非所惮也，不谓以例程辞免，就降改命。辞难避事，何以自文。不知阅古如何，今必有定论 。作者简介：汪鸣銮（1839～1907），字柳门，号郋亭，室名能自强斋、万宜楼，浙江杭州人。同治四年进士。累官吏部侍郎。因反对慈禧太后干政被革职。主讲杭州诂经书院。精小学。夫人为吴大澂之妹。
