款识：天启丙寅三月八日，华亭董其昌识。 钤印：董氏玄宰（白） 识文：吾朝书画名家之盛，莫盛于文氏太史衡山先生，高风余韵，岂止传播江左，至于五峯老人，笔墨秀竞，与吴中诸大夫日以唱酬为乐。世人争购片纸不可得，此帧为谱永叔醉翁亭图，且以金碧点染，即使李昭道父子见之，亦当避去三舍 。作者简介：董其昌（1555～1636），字玄宰，号香光、香光居士，华亭（今上海）人。万暦十七年进士。官至南京礼部尚书，诏加太子太保。才华俊逸，少负盛名。工诗文，善书画，精鉴赏。书法超越诸家，以行楷称绝一代，与邢侗、米万钟、张瑞图并称“晚明四家”。其书法自成一家，对明末清初书风影响很大。山水师董、巨，以黄、倪为宗，以禅论画，有“画分南北宗”之说，著有《画禅室随笔》等。
