A Delhi Durbar armchair, 1911, carved with two crown-form finials surmounting the chair back, carved in high relief with curtains, tassels, sceptres and 'Delhi GRI 1911' over a shield, mounted with a silver shield engraved 'Presented to Mr G. McLean on the occasion of his marriage by his Brother Engineers of the R.M.S Mantua 1913', the scrolled arms terminating in lion head masks, with a red velvet upholstered seat, supported by double scroll legs with ball feet, 73cm wide 71cm deep 106.5cm high, seat 53cm high Condition report: Back legs with losses - chips to the wood frame throughout. Silver shield tarnished and worn. Seat and trimming worn.
