An Indian silver small tankard, 19th century, bearing the stamp T & Co, the mark of Lawrence Twentyman, the domed cover over a 'C' scroll handle, all decorated with engraved bands of scrolling foliage, 11.5cm high, 8.6ozt Lawrence Twentyman was an English silversmith who worked in the Cape Colony and operated between 1818 and 1837, it is known that his mark was emulated by a firm operational in Calcutta during the latter part of his career. Condition report: Light rubbing and dinks, the marks to the underside rubbed, the lid fits tight.
