A pair of Irish silver sugar tongs, initialled 'JS', Dublin, late 18th/early 19th century, with an engraved oval cartouche, bright cut decorated handles and scalloped bowls, 14cm long, a pierced pair, probably by Peter and Anne Bateman, and six further, 8.7ozt (8) Condition report: Rubbing, general surface wear and scratches to all pieces. Tarnish and tiny dents throughout. Some hallmarks rubbed. Some pieces with engraved initials. Some bowl points slightly misshapen. Some slightly misshapen generally. One pair split to one bowl.
