Paul César Helleu (French, 1859-1927) Alexandra of Denmark drypoint, signed in pencil plate 54.5 x 33.5cm Condition report: A large area of foxing across the sitter's neck and chest, and the adjacent background. Some further very dark flecks of foxing close to the signature, and one or two elsewhere. There appears to be a light but large circular stain in the background close to her mouth. One or two spots of white top right and on neck. Some flecks of surface dirt. Not seen outside of frame.
