A George III mahogany, rosewood, crossbanded and line inlaid bow-fronted bachelor's chest, the top with a moulded edge, above a brushing slide and four graduated long drawers, each with a shield-shaped satinwood escutcheon, raised on shaped bracket feet, 108cm wide 58cm deep 84cm high Condition report: Oval brass plate handles have been detached from the chest for some years and have been put back on, but will need attention to make them function properly. One piece of moulding to right hand return off but present. Scratches, knocks and wear. Chips and knocks to feet. Split to top. Some loss and repair to veneer and inlay. General wear.
