A George I walnut secretaire chest on chest, in two parts, the upper fitted with three short above three long drawers, flanked by fluted canted corners, the lower with a fitted secretaire drawer above thee further drawers, on bracket feet, 105cm wide 56cm deep 182cm high Condition report: Two small areas of veneer missing to cross-grain front. Splits to sides. Splits, and knocks throughout. Gouges to one side. Repairs to backboards. Secretaire drawer with marks to interior. Fall drawer mechanism a little stiff. Replacements to hardware. Surface appears to have had some attention at some point. General wear, knocks and losses commensurate with age.
