He became a teacher with the Art Department of Nanjing Central University, Shanghai Art College and Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1928, 1930 and 1950 successively. He was a standing member and consultant of China Artists Association, good at figure painting in a way combining both the Chinese and Eastern painting skills.
