|苏钟是清代苏州所制钟表的简称，因其外型与中国古代插屏相似，又称为“插屏钟”。此钟以上等红木作框，包浆浓郁，枣皮红色，深沉古韵。座钟报时声音悦耳，白色圆形表盘，罗马数字时标，铜质花针，并有铜鎏金缠枝花卉寿字纹装饰，双层可移动底座，外壁浮雕数个葫芦。整器精工细作，古朴端庄，颇有东方古韵，应为大家贵族实用之器。||参阅：《时间的历史映像—中国钟表史论集》 故宫出版社
