Slight splits have formed in the panels following the horizontal wood grain, these are stable. The paint layers have suffered from minor abrasion and slight lifting following the splits. The varnish layers have yellowed and imbibed extensive dirt. The varnish is worn and abraded. The panels are poorly fitted in the frame.
