水墨纸本立轴潘主兰（1909-2001）, 福建福州市人。1928年肄业于福建经学会国文专修科， 1929年一1937年以教书为业， 1956年执教福州工艺美术专科学校，讲授国文、书法、艺术理论等课程。 70年代末始，历任福州书法篆刻研究会副会长，福州画院副院长，福建省书法家协会副主席、顾问，福州市书法家协会顾问。潘主兰先生是当代著名的书法篆刻家，被中国书法家协会称为“占主导地位老书法家、代表着今日中国书法的最高水平、不愧为我国的书法大家”。
