此壶甚小，用泥细腻，梨形壶，造工讲究，小巧玲珑，器身饱满，犹蕴骨力，珠钮高挺，截盖半弧，把坚实有力。壶内造工一丝不苟，且内外如一，整体比例协调，造型端庄俊雅却不失灵动，凡此皆展现出作者的超凡功力。壶底刻曰“不到三声合断肠”“ 孟臣”。
