铭文：西洞方琛，勾云缀椽。灿星五彩，古制良材。粹美兹一端。醇士戴熙。钤印：井东居士 |说明：砚为端石制，长方，开淌池，边饰仿古玉纹饰，简洁素雅。石色灰紫，质地细腻润泽，为端溪佳石。配红木天地盖。||铭者简介：戴熙（1801～1860），字醇士，号鹿床、榆庵、蓴溪、井东居士、鹿床居士，浙江杭州人。道光十一年进士，十二年翰林。官至兵部侍郎，后引疾归，主讲崇文书院。诗、书、画均有造诣，与汤贻汾齐名。其山水画名重一时。
