铭文：唯石之贞，唯竹之节。磨而不磷，污而能虚。乾隆二年丁巳上巳日，南阜山人左手书。 |说明：砚体圆雕成竹节形，呈半剖状，正面下凹为淌池，背雕如竹节。此砚质地坚密细润，下发墨极佳。气息典雅，为不可多得之书文房佳品。配红木竹节形砚盒及旧雕竹节形砚盖。|铭者简介：高凤翰（1683～1749），字西园，号南村、南阜、云阜、石道人等，山东胶州人。曾官安徽歙县知县，泰州巡盐分司。擅诗文、书法、绘画、篆刻。五十五岁时因右臂病废，书法篆刻乃以左手为之，毅力惊人。爱砚成癖，藏砚多至千余方，为“扬州八怪”之一。
