铭文：匪石若木，自东海来。吾道将行，生此良材。而不磷，叩之无声。却咲端州，蹋天割云。台僊铭。 |说明：砚作长方，四角呈弧形，线条流畅，气质典雅。砚面浅雕象耳瓶，瓶身微凹以为砚堂，瓶口内陷借为墨池。砚背有钱泳隶书铭文。象历来被视为瑞兽，《汉书·王莽传》曰：“天下太平，五谷成熟”，太平有象预示着天下太平、五谷丰登，人民安居乐业。配红木砚盒。|铭者简介：钱泳（1759～1844），原名鹤，字立群，号梅溪、台仙，室名履园，江苏金匮（今无锡）人。尝客毕沅幕，为嘉道间著名学者。精研金石碑版，工八法，尤长隶古，兼及书画。著述颇丰。
