|来源：美国收藏家重要收藏||汉魏六朝欲伸手主要是辟邪以及天马等，辟邪的原型为狮子。《山海经》曰：“辟邪之兽，来自海东神兽，能知人之忠佞，不直者，触而啖杀之。”一般将形似狮，身披羽翼，头出角的神兽统称为辟邪。此件玉辟邪为东汉陈设用玉，高4.5厘米，长6厘米，玉质为糖白玉，头部尾部有少量留皮，有少量绺裂呈红褐色沁色。辟邪呈伏卧状，昂首挺胸，张口露齿，舌向上翘，下颚胡须垂直胸前，身披卷云状羽翼，腿部琢刻卷云纹饰，以浅刻阴线表现全身毛纹。尾部有两处圆孔，可用于佩挂。
