壶型精巧，平口直颈，壶身呈橄榄形，此特征当为内务作坊所制料器独有，双面套宝石蓝料雕花卉纹样，线条婉转流畅，刻画生动自然，寓意吉祥美好。质地温润，布局饱满，剔地干净利落。套料工艺在康熙年间便已出现，乾隆时期已达到相当高的水平。制作方法分为两种，一是在玻璃胎上满套与胎色不同的另一色料，而后在外套料器上雕琢花纹；一是用经加热半熔的色料棒直接在胎上作花纹。
