传世的明清人物骑马造像颇多，有关公及高士等。此件人物武将装束，头戴直檐战笠，神情自然，似在享受胜利的喜悦，身躯健硕，甲胄刻画细致入微，尤以兽面肩甲塑造立体，武将两手持缰绳（左侧断缺），骏马引颈回首，似在等待主人指挥。造像塑造观赏性与实用性兼具，骏马后身铸为深腹铜形，以作水丞之用。可谓在造像品类中实用性突出，实用器中观赏性极佳。
