作者简介：释星云(1927-2023)，俗名李国深，其信徒常称之为星云大师。江苏扬州(江都)人，十二岁于南京栖霞寺礼志开上人出家。为临济宗第48代传人。1945年入栖霞律学院修学佛法。1949年春，组织僧侣救护队来台湾。1967年创建佛光山，并出任佛光山寺第一、二、三任住持。先后在世界各地创建200余所道场，并创办美术馆、图书馆、出版社、书局、中华学校、佛教丛林学院及大、中、小学等数十所。曾主编《人生》、《今日佛教》、《觉世》月刊等佛教刊物。曾任中国国民党党务顾问、中央常务委员。现任国际佛光会世界总会会长，南京大学中华文化研究院名誉院长等职。
