A wooden Buddhist figure of Vajrapāṇi17/18th century, TibetA rare polychrome wooden (possibly Zitan) depiction of the wrathful Vajrapāṇi. Vajrapāṇi is alternatively known by the name Dveṣavajra because he is the enemy of malice (dveṣa). Here Vajrapāṇi is visualised as holding a vajra in his right hand and a bell in his left.H 15 cm, W 12.5 cm, Old wear and faults (see photos).
