A Chinese imari double gourd 'hu lu' teapotKangxi period, ca. 1700, ChinaAn unusual form of teapot decorated with flowering prunus branches. Not marked.H 14 cm (to top of finial) and L 15.3 cm (handle to spout), A crack at the top of the handle (where the handle joins the body of the teapot) and a small bruise on the standing rim and along the opening of the teapot (see close-up photos). No restoration. Some wear of the gilding.
