A pair of sancai biscuit-ware parrots on rocky bases18/19th century, China, Provenance: Property of a Dutch noble family.- acquired from A. van der Meer, Amsterdam, 1993, Two green glazed birds with unglazed beaks and claws, standing on rocks in brown, green and yellow glaze. With an open underside and not marked.H ca. 22 cm, Small chip to tail of one bird (see phots). Some normal wear from age but no restoration.
